Police were called to a Kaiserslautern home Thursday afternoon after neighbors reported hearing screams, officials reported in a Friday statement.

Authorities were alerted around 4:40 p.m. when witnesses reported to have heard loud shrieks in the Morlautern district of Kaiserslautern.

Upon arrival, police found no signs of distress. They knocked on the reported address and were informed by a woman that the screams were from her daughter watching a horror film.

The 16-year-old confirmed the incident, and officers subsequently cleared the scene without further action.
