Body discovered during car fire response, investigation underway

First responders discovered a body in the aftermath of a car fire on Europaallee this morning, according to local authorities.

Firefighters, alongside paramedics and police, responded to a report of a vehicle fire near a car dealership shortly before 5 a.m.

The parked Honda was engulfed in flames upon the arrival of emergency services. The lifeless individual was found inside the vehicle during the firefighting efforts, Westpfalz Police said.

The identity of the deceased as well as the causes of the death and the fire remain unknown and police are investigating, according to officials.
