Germany observes Good Friday as a public holiday, which means that all stores and government offices are closed today. The same goes for Monday, which is also a holiday. On Easter Sunday, Germany and much of Europe spring forward an hour into Central European Summer Time. The clocks move forward an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday. Daylight saving time ends Oct. 27.
