Burglaries at various homes within the city limits were reported to the police on Saturday.

According to residents, the incidents occurred between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., resulting in the theft of video game consoles, cameras and jewelry, Westpfalz Police said in a statement Tuesday.

In Steinstrasse, perpetrators broke into an apartment within a multi-family dwelling, forcefully opening the apartment door and scouring the premises for valuables, making off with a video game console.

Another break-in occurred on Brahmsstrasse, where thieves targeted the gold jewelry of an elderly woman after gaining entry into her apartment in a similar multi-family building.

The last reported incident took place in an apartment on Ludwigsstrasse, where burglars stole a DSLR camera along with the homeowner’s jewelry.

No residents were present during the burglaries.

Authorities estimate the total value of the stolen items to be in the mid-five-figure range, according to officials.

Police have initiated investigations and are asking witnesses who may have noticed suspicious activities around the affected streets during to make reports via 0631 369-2620.
