(Ron Alvey/Stars and Stripes)
Urosevac, Yugoslavia, June 20, 1999: Flowers decorate concertina wire at a traffic control point in Urosecac, a province in Kosovo. U.S. forces man this control point and scores of local citizens give the GI’s flowers on a daily basis. It a way of saying thanks for their help in assisting their return to their homes. An American Humvee and soldier can be seen in the background.
