Fire Support Base 25, South Vietnam, Mar. 11, 1968: A lone soldier from Company A, 3rd Battalion, 12th Infantry Division and 6th Battalion, 29th Artillery Division looks out through the haze into Cambodia, on a rare quiet morning.

Overlooking the Cambodian border of Vietnam the base is one of many hill-top FSBs around Dak To. Together with the men from the surrounding FSBs, the men of FSB 25 cover the whole Dak To Bowl — the small, unnamed valley in which Dak To is located.

FSB 25 came under an intense mortar, rocket and ground attack January 31st in which nine men of 3/12 were wounded.
