South Korea, Jan. 5, 1962: Three 12th Cavalry Regiment men make their way down a mountain in a camouflaged jeep with a 106 mm recoilless rifle mounted on top of it. Troops of the 12th Cavalry were participating in a month-long Army training test. The training, which began Jan. 2, was held in the mountain areas of South Korea where the cavalrymen honed their skills in varied terrains such as jungles and expansive open agricultural paddies.
