Germany, January 1954: Pvt. Horst W. Luckas digs into his C-rations during a 102nd Infantry Regiment, 43rd Division winter training exercise. After the rations were eaten, the boxes they were stored in were used as molds for snow blocks to build igloos for warmth and revetments for camouflage.
