Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, March 27, 2004: Spc. Jonathan Stormm of the New York National Guard works to take the drive plate off the rotor head of an AH-64 Apache belonging to the 1st Battalion, 130th Aviation Regiment of the North Carolina National Guard. The aircraft was going through maintenance. Stormm and another soldier from New York volunteered to deploy with the Raleigh-Durham-based unit.
