Vienna, Austria, December 1956: A young boy whose family fled Hungary in the wake of a brutal Soviet response to a popular uprising sits down for a meal at a Vienna refugee center. Among those helping care for the thousands of refugees was the 36th Fighter-Day Wing from Bitburg, Germany, which sent three Air Force C-47s that carried five tons of donated food and clothing.
