Takayama created many of the monster — also called kaiju — suits for Tsuburaya Productions. Before becoming part of the Ultraman team, Takayana also created Barugon — an ancient reptilian kaiju with an extended tongue, rainbow death ray, and saliva that could freeze on impact — who first appeared in Gamera vs. Barugon (1966).
