Darmstadt, Germany, July 7, 1955: Lucille Tuberville gets a kiss goodbye from her Army husband Sgt. 1st Class Freeman Tuberville (right) and Air Force son Airman 3rd Class Charles S. Tuberville (left) as she is drying the dishes. Father Tuberville served with the 760th Field Artillery Battalion, while airman son served with the 6911th Radio Squadron (Mobile). Both father and son served in Darmstadt and the sergeant’s entire family of seven lived together in a military housing unit.
