Amsterdam, Netherlands, November 1963: During a visit to the U.S. Food and Agriculture Exhibition at Amsterdam’s new RAI building, Lady Bird Johnson tries out what appears to be a very comfortable chair as her husband, Vice President Lyndon Johnson, awaits his turn. The Johnsons were on a goodwill tour of the Benelux countries; two weeks later, events in Dallas would radically change their lives.
