The Department of Defense Warrior Games 2025 will feature members from all branches, including wounded warriors from the Space Force.

The two Guardians competing are Space Force Master Sgt. Christopher Borland, an operations support superintendent with Space Training and Readiness Command, and Senior Master Sgt. Brandon Duenas, who serves at the Pentagon.

The games — which include 200 wounded, ill and injured athletes that will compete in 11 adaptive sports — begin Friday and run through July 26.

The teams will compete in archery, cycling, field, indoor rowing, powerlifting, precision air sports, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.

This year’s Warrior games happen to take place in Space Force’s backyard of Colorado Springs, Colo., at Colorado College. While Space Force Guardians are finally represented in this year’s games, they are competing within Air Force’s team. The other teams are Navy, Army, Marine Corps and SOCOM.

SOCOM remains the only combatant command formally represented in these games. The SOCOM team includes individuals from Army Special Operations Command, Naval Special Warfare Command, Air Force Special Operations Command and Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command.

The games will be broadcast on the official YouTube account: www.youtube.com/@DoDWarriorGamesOFFICIAL/streams.
