An unspecified “incident” at Naval Base Guam’s main exchange store on Tuesday closed roads and spurred a response from security forces, fire and emergency services.

“Access to the NEX and Commissary is restricted at this time,” said a morning post on the base’s official Facebook page. “Security is conducting traffic control. All patrons are asked to remain clear of the area.”

A second post at 9:20 a.m. declared the situation “all clear,” and said stores and roads had reopened.

A spokesperson for the base did not immediately respond to an email seeking further information.
