(Tribune News Service) — A U.S. Navy helicopter mechanic living in Decatur coaxed a 13-year-old in Pennsylvania to send him nude photos and videos, according to a Homeland Security investigation.
Lehigh Valley Live is reporting that Patrick Otwell, a U.S. Navy helicopter mechanic with a home in Decatur, was arrested on Feb. 21.
According to investigators, Otwell got the eighth-grade girl to send him 25 nude images and 15 nude videos showing her performing sex acts on herself between Nov. 25, 2022, and Jan. 22.
WAFF is reporting that, according to authorities, Otwell demanded nude photos and videos from the girl, instructed her to send him pictures daily, and wanted her to call him “daddy.”
He talked to her as though she was a small child and told her to seek his permission to go to sleep at night. Otwell is also accused of sending her explicit pictures and engaging in illicit behavior in online video chats.
The girl, however, would not reveal to Otwell where she lived, investigators said.
