(Tribune News Service) — The Miramar Air Show was briefly interrupted Saturday when a small brush fire broke out near the Marine Corps Air Station off Interstate 15, officials said.

The fire broke out around 2 p.m. and briefly halted traffic along state Route 163, before it was extinguished, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.

It was limited to about 1.5 acres and no damage was reported. The air show went on as scheduled a short time later.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known and the no injuries were reported.
