The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a boater who was reported missing after he launched a vessel from Nicks Park in Port Richey, Fla., on Sunday morning.

Coast Guard officials posted on Facebook that they had found Andre Nolasco’s boat about 8 miles west of Hudson but there was no one on board. Nolasco, 57, had launched from Nicks Park on Sunday morning but did not return and was reported missing.

“Crews are now searching for a person in the water and will continue searching through the night,” the Coast Guard posted late Monday.

The agency updated its post Tuesday morning saying: “U. S. Coast Guard air and surface crews will continue searching throughout the day.”
