A former National Guard soldier pleaded guilty Thursday to sexual abuse of another man at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, according to the Justice Department.

Jessie Solomon Dunnaway, 23, of Georgia was indicted for performing oral sex on a man while that man was incapable of consenting, according to court documents. Judge Joe Heaton accepted Dunnaway’s plea in an Oklahoma City federal courtroom. The incident took place Nov. 3, 2019.

Dunnaway was a fire control specialist in the Army National Guard from October 2018 to April 2022, according to his service record. He was a private at the time that he left the service. Dunnaway faces up to life in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a supervised release from prison for possibly the remainder of his life. His sentencing has not been scheduled.

The Army Criminal Investigation Division, the agency that handled the investigation, arrested Dunnaway on June 8, 2023, according to court documents.

Authorities did not provide further information.
