One soldier was killed and three were injured in a military vehicle accident Thursday on Fort Bragg, XVIII Airborne Corps announced.

“We are saddened by death of one of our own as a result of a vehicle accident today,” said Maj. Gen. Brian Mennes, Deputy Commanding General, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg. “Our heart goes out to the soldier’s family and friends as we collectively mourn the loss of this soldier.”

The name of the soldier who died is being withheld for 24 hours until family can been notified.

The incident, which occurred around noon Thursday, is under investigation.

The three injured soldiers were treated at the scene and transported to Womack Army Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

Their identities have been withheld under privacy guidelines.
