RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — An airman is still hospitalized after being injured in a vehicle accident last week on a base road, according to an 86th Airlift Wing statement Monday.

The airman, a passenger in the personal vehicle, was taken to the Westpfalz Clinic in Kaiserslautern and remains in stable condition.

Another airman, who was driving when the accident occurred Friday, was transported to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and later released, the statement said.

Both are assigned to the 86th Munitions Squadron.

No details were released about the extent of the injuries or the nature of what the statement referred to as an accident. The cause remains under investigation.
