The Red Horse squadron has returned home after a 6½-month deployment to Guam.
The 823rd Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineer, better known as Red Horse, arrived at Hurlburt Field on Sunday to embraces from family and friends.
The airmen were deployed to rehabilitate and upgrade airfields on islands to support exercises and the pre-positioning of assets throughout the Pacific theater.
This squadron is one of only four active-duty units of its kind in the Air Force.
