RAF MILDENHALL, England — The International School of Brussels boys defeated Lakenheath, 44-31, Saturday to finish off a two-game sweep of their hosts.

ISB, which won, 52-42, on Friday, sits atop the Region I standings with a 6-1 mark.

On Saturday, the Raiders outscored Lakenheath 12-1 in the third period to break open a game they had led by only 23-19 at halftime.

“We’ve got a strong team and over the last four or five games they’ve really shown a lot of improvement all around,” ISB coach Mark McDonald said. “We’re playing hard defense.”

Friday’s win was led by Tim Overeem, who, according to McDonald, scored 25 points, had seven rebounds and three assists.

The Lancers (0-2, 0-8) were led Saturday by Michael Francis, who had seven rebounds, Bradley Goodspeed and Brinsely Walker with five rebounds each, and Albert Jones with five steals.

The Lancers will travel to SHAPE to take on the Spartans, another Division I and Region I foe, next weekend.
