©Stars and StripesFrankfurt, West Germany, November, 1951: A woman at the Rhein-Main airport peers into the window of a limousine to get a look at actress Jane Russell, who was in Europe hoping to adopt a child. Russell was aided in her search by the wife of U.S. High Commissioner John McCloy, who arranged a meeting with German welfare agency representatives.
