Warm water rained on my body as a therapist rubbed and massaged me with oil. Jets of water sprayed my body from all angles. A pool of warm water with bubbling spouts helped me relax. Ah, the pleasures of the Vittel Thermal Baths.
Vittel, a city in the Vosges area of northeastern Fance, was established as a spa center in 1854. It still attracts visitors to soak in its spring waters and take its various health-related cures.
And there’s no need to sign up for a week’s program. All manner of treatments are available for the day visitor from 25 euros.
In addition to the 20-minute underwater massage and the jet showers, the spa has a kidney shower, a liver shower, a relaxing shower for the back and another designed to attack cellulite on the hips and legs. Traditional massages are available, as are facial treatments.
