Division I football contenders looking for vulnerabilities in the defending champions will have to wait at least another week.
The reigning Wiesbaden Warriors started their pursuit of a second straight DODDS-Europe title with a brutal 54-0 shutout of the host Lakenheath Lancers on Saturday.
CJ Pridgen headlined a substantial cast of Warrior standouts with a 75-yard touchdown run, a 32-yard touchdown reception and a pair of interceptions.
Quarterback Tim Cuthbert threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Deshon Barrow broke off a 70-yard touchdown run. All told, the Wiesbaden offense racked up 388 yards from scrimmage, with six different players - Pridgen, Christian Gueria, Anthony Little, Barrow, Alfred Freed and Rameel Walker - reaching the end zone via air or ground. The Warriors added a defensive touchdown as well when Josh Pridgen returned an interception for six points.
Colten Menges made eight tackles and Marcus Smith rushed five times for 38 yards for the Lancers.
