BRUSSELS, Belgium – Jamal Thomas and Darius Brown each ran for two touchdowns and the Aviano Saints equaled their win total from a year ago by opening the season with a 39-0 victory over the International School of Brussels Raiders on Saturday.

Aviano, 1-4 last season, took advantage of a successful onside kick and ISB turnovers to blow the game open and end it via mercy rule by halftime. Statistics were not kept by either team, according to ISB coach Will Vreugdenhil.

The Raiders, 3-2 and a playoff team last year, have next weekend off before traveling to Vicenza the following weekend. Aviano hosts Vicenza on Saturday.
