An amateur photographer who believes she captured a U.S. servicemember during a successful wedding proposal at a Washington D.C. war memorial is now trying to find the mystery couple and share the touching photographs.

The romantic images were captured the evening of July 2 inside the War Memorial pavilion and show a man wearing what is likely a U.S. Air Force uniform beside a woman in a black and white dress.

“He kissed her and her entire body went limp,” wrote photographer Angila Golik on her YouTube video where she published the photos.”It was a moment of pure beauty and I could feel the love.”

Golik told the Huffington Post she was in town from Carson, Nev., for an education conference when she spotted the well-lighted proposal.

Golik said she was fenced off from the pavilion and that the couple could not hear her. She also said that she attempted to contact Andrews Air Force Base.

Stars and Stripes has no way to independently verify the validity of the photographs, which were published to YouTube on July 11.
