(Tribune News Service) — A massive two-day air show and open house at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst that has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors to the New Jersey military base is returning for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020.

The Air and Space Open House — “Power in the Pines” will be held on the weekend of May 20 and 21, the joint base announced Monday.

The U.S. Air Force’s F-16 Viper demonstration team is expected to be one of the main attractions.

Additional details about the show are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The show will run from 10:30 a.m- 5:30 p.m. both days. “It’s going to be a weekend to remember,” the joint base said.

The 2022 show had been scheduled for May 7 and 8 but was later canceled.

In past years, more than 200,000 people have attended the event.
