KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany – No details have been set for a memorial service for Senior Airman Joseph Lopez, who died early Saturday after falling 25 feet.

U.S Air Force officials at Ramstein Air Base said Tuesday morning a service was scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m., but later said those plans were changed, as the Air Force is still trying to coordinate details for the service with Lopez’s family in the States.

Lopez, 26, fell from a second-story parking lot after climbing over a 6-foot fence outside the Nachtschicht disco in downtown Kaiserslautern, according to police and Air Force officials.

A member of the 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Lopez was from Pleasanton, Calif.
