KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany – Commissary stores at U.S. military bases worldwide are stocking up for the fall case lot sale, when customers can buy in bulk at discounted prices. About 360 products will be available, from pastas, rice, soups and sauces to diapers, kitty litter, sausage links and fruit pies, according to a DECA news release.

Customers will be able to “mix and match” products, DECA officials said in the release. Commissaries will set aside an area where customers can mix items of similar size and price – such as canned goods, cereals or sodas – in the same case. There are some exceptions, DECA officials say in the release; some higher-priced products will be excluded from the mix, such as asparagus, which costs more than other vegetables and cannot be matched with other items. Bitberg, Grafenwoehr, Mannheim, Patch Barracks, Ramstein, Vogelweh – Sept. 16 to Sept. 18.

Bamberg – Sept. 17 and Sept. 18.
