Maj. Gen. Kenneth J. Glueck Jr. has been nominated to serve as commanding general of the III Marine Expeditionary Force and commander of Marine Corps Bases Japan, the Department of Defense announced last week.

He was also nominated to be promoted to lieutenant general, according to a DOD release.

Glueck is currently serving as the director of operations and logistics for U.S. Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany.
