Department of Defense Education Activity Pacific high schools is hosting the first Pacific Far East Jazz Festival at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, next week.

The festival will culminate Thursday with a live performance at 7 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Guam Grand Ballroom, according to a DODEA release.

The festival features 45 students chosen among more than 100 applicants from Pacific bases to participate in the weeklong rehearsals and Thursday performance in either the 27-member Honor Jazz Choir or 18-member instrumental Honor Jazz Ensemble.
