VICENZA, Italy - Joseph Pitts threw two touchdown passes Saturday and ran for a third score as the Naples Wildcats improved to 3-2 with a 35-0 victory over Vicenza.
Pitts completed nine of 16 tosses for 168 yards, according to Naples coach Dirk Lambertson. Ryheam Trahan, who piled up 208 all-purpose yards, caught one TD pass from Pitts and another from running back Kyle Smigelski, who rushed 16 times for 105 yards.
Smiglski returned a pass interception for a TD for the other Naples score. The game was 35-0 at halftime and ended under a running clock.
Sam LeVault had 12 tackles for Naples, which is likely to be at home this week in the D-II quarterfinals. LeVault’s teammate Ivo Sabotinov numbered four sacks among his 11 tackles.
Vicenza concluded its season 0-5.
