Navy guard Kendall Knorr scored a career-high 17 points and added seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Midshipmen to a 67-59 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Tuesday night.

Though there were several lead changes in the first half, Navy (4-3) led for most of the game. Maryland-Eastern Shore (2-3) kept it close until midway through the second half, when Navy opened a nine-point lead. The Hawks, of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, then rallied to come within three with just over a minute left when guard Hakeem Baxter hit a 10-foot jumper to make it 60-57. Knorr then sealed the Midshipmen’s victory with a 3-pointer and four consecutive free throws.

Navy guard Tilman Dunbar added 15 points and forward Worth Smith had 14.

Maryland-Eastern Shore center Francis Ezeiru recorded the game’s only double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. KyRee Jones had 16 points to lead the Hawks despite going 5-for-22 from the field.
