BRISTOL, England — The Filton Pride continued its march through Division I-North Saturday with a 26-3 victory over the defending European D-I champion Ramstein Royals.

Jordan Eaton scored three touchdowns for Filton, 3-0 in its initial season of DODDS-Europe football. After a scoreless first period, Eaton scored from 15 yards out early in the second period after a snap over the Ramstein punter’s head put Filton deep in Royals’ territory.

Ramstein responded with a 70-yard drive capped by a Blake Fogle field goal to make it 7-3 at the half, but that was to be it for the Royals against a Filton defense that was led by, according to Filton coach Benjamin Herod, Fernando Carvahlo, Cameron Parker, Mitch Wilson and Ashley Hopkinson.

Eaton, who gained 150 yards on the day, broke scoring runs of 45 and 30 yards in the third quarter, and Parker added a fourth TD from five yards out in the final going.

Ramstein fell to 2-1 going into this Saturday’s home game against Kaiserslautern. Filton, a British Sports Academy, is to host Lakenheath on Saturday.
