When the Super Bowl hoopla kicks off Sunday, Americans in Europe will have plenty of options for watching the annual extravaganza.

The American Forces Network will be showing the game on four of its stations, and several European stations are also scheduled to show the game.

And those who cannot get the game at home — or don’t want to watch it alone — can join in on the couch coaching in front of a big-screen television at one of the many Super Bowl parties scheduled on U.S. bases.

The game kicks off at 12:25 a.m. Monday Central European Time, and will be shown on AFN-Sports, AFN-Prime Atlantic, AFN-Prime Pacific and AFN-Xtra (formerly AFN-Korea). It will also be broadcast on AFN radio.

In addition, each station will also have an assortment of pre- and post-game features.

Those who cannot get AFN will not be shut out.

In Germany, station ARD is broadcasting the game live for the first time. The station will have a 15-man crew in Detroit, and will have color provided by Tom Nütten, an NFL lineman who played with the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV and speaks German fluently.

Italia 1 in Italy, ITV in Britain and SBS in the Netherlands are among other stations showing the game live, with their own hosts and pre-game and halftime shows. In addition, Britain’s Sky Sports will pick up ABC’s stateside broadcast.
