OSAN AIR BASE, South Korea – It wasn’t the sharpest of performances from a Seoul American team that coach Jim Davis termed “flat” on Friday, but it was good enough to snap the Falcons’ five-game skid.

Daniel Salazar rushed for three touchdowns and Eben Shelton had a receiving TD and an interception, sparking Seoul American past Osan 32-0 and to a 2-5 finish to the season. The Cougars went 0-7.

Against a Division II opponent such as Osan, “maybe you don’t come out with the oomph that you would if you’re facing a Kadena, a Kinnick or a Yokota or somebody like that,” Davis said.

Myles Haynes got the Falcons going with a 65-yard punt-return touchdown, but then the offense stalled, Davis said. “It was between that (and the next touchdown, three series later), it felt as if we couldn’t get too much going at times, something you don’t want to do.”

The Falcons got on track from there. Shelton’s interception set up a 4-yard TD run by Salazar. Two series later, Shelton snagged an 8-yard scoring pass from Max Weekley. Salazar capped the scoring with second-half touchdown runs of 18 and 12 yards. Haynes finished with 114 yards on eight carries, Salazar 83 yards on eight attempts, Christian Scruggs 87 yards on seven carries and Weekley went 6-for-9 for 78 yards.
