Kubasaki Dragons

2016 season record — 2-5, 2-4 in regular-season games vs. Division I opponents.
Head coach — Fred Bales, 13th season, Overall record 44-33, two D-I titles (2005, 2013).
Returning players — 11.
Returning starters — 6.
Key performers — Josh Swen, Sr., WR-DB; Jacob Kirkman, Sr., L; Skyler Klimek, Jr., QB; Cameron McCall, Sr., WR-S; Hayden Williamson, Jr., LB-HB; Juan Guerrero, Sr., WR-DE; Jeffrey Horton, Jr., WR-DB; Jeremy Liu, Jr., L; Jaylan Penny, Jr., WR; Mason Avers, Jr., L-LB; Haydn Peterson, So., L-LB; Christopher Edwards, Sr., WR-QB-P.
Strengths — Work ethic. Potential. Special teams may be among the best in the Pacific.
Drawbacks — Lack of depth; majority of players must play on offense and defense.
Overview — Rebuilding. String of five straight appearances in Far East D-I title game came to an end last season; it will take some serious growth at many positions for it to be a sixth title-game berth in seven years. Potential to be a solid team, but much needs to be done.
