Far East Girls Division I Softball Tournament

Site — Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan.
Dates — May 22-24, 2019.
Participating teams — Humphreys, Kadena, Kubasaki, Nile C. Kinnick, American School In Japan.
Returning All-Far East players — Kinnick: Kim Nelson (two-time All-Far East selection); Humphreys: Xyra Razon (Division II last season); ASIJ: Soo Park (two-time selection).
Format — Full league round robin first two days. Single-elimination playoffs with consolation last day. Most Valuable Player and 12 All-Tournament selections.

Participating teams — Pool A: Daegu Warriors, Yokota Panthers,  E.J. King Cobras, Robert D. Edgren Eagles. Pool B: Seoul American Falcons,  Osan Cougars, Zama Trojans, Matthew C. Perry Samurai.
Returning All-Far East players — Daegu: Bethani Newbold (reigning Most Outstanding Player); Zama: Aika Davis; Humphreys: Xyra Razon; Osan: Satomi Swayne.
Format, schedule of events — Round robin, but not a complete one, seven teams in one pool playing four games each, first 1½ days. Modified double-elimination tournament with consolation, last 1½ days.
