NAPLES, Italy - Right fielder Chris McKissick stroked a two-strike, two-out walk-off three-run homer over the center field fence Saturday to lift the Sigonella Jaguars to a 5-4 Game 2 victory over the Naples Widlcats and a split of the teams’ doubleheader.

The victory in the final game of the regular season allowed Sigonella to improve to 8-3 overall, good for second place in the South Region standings. Naples, which won Game 1 15-3, claimed the regional title with a 9-2 mark. Both losses, both to Sigonella, came by one run each.

In Game 1, Zach Zimmerman’s bat and glove and Matt Gardner’s arm carried Naples. Zimmerman went 2-f0r 2 at the plate, and Gardner struck out five in his route-going four-inning outing.

In other baseball:

Vilseck 10-10, Hohenfels 0-8: Saturday at Vilseck, Damon Ellison pitched four innings of no-hit ball in relief in the nightcap to help the Falcons to a come-from-behind victory and a sweep of an East Region doubleheader.

According to Vilseck coach Chris Nelson, the Falcons trailed 7-2 when Ellison came into the game. He fanned seven en route to the victory.

Michael Cook went 2-for-3 with a double to aid the Vilseck comeback, which was ignited, Nelson said, by Noah Hartley’s two-run pinch single.

In Game 1, Chris Nelson picked up the victory with three innings of one-hit ball, fanning five. Jake Blackburn allowed two hits in his two innings of shutout relief.

Blackburn and Riley Fees each had two Game 1 hits for Vilseck, which benefited from four Hohenfels errors.

The sweep allowed Vilseck to complete the regular season 6-6. Hohenfeis fell to 1-11. Both teams advance to this week’s European tournaments Thursday-Saturday at Ramstein.
