YOKOSUKA NAVAL BASE, Japan — The Japan Football League All-Stars handily defeated the Kanagawa All-Stars, a Japanese team, 38-6 at Yokosuka Naval Base’s Berkey Field, behind the running of Nile C. Kinnick stars Leonard Lynce, Adam Krievs and Jarvis Williams plus Donovan Nance of Zama American.

Lynce earned game MVP honors on his home field with 132 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, plus seven tackles on defense, in the sixth installment of the JFL All-Star Series.

The game brought together 24 players from the three JFL teams not participating in the Rising Sun Bowl, and Kinnick offensive coordinator Jimmy Davis was pleased to see combatants on the field all season getting along well at the end.

“They practiced all day yesterday, they went to a movie and did things together, and today before they game they were clowning around as if they’d been doing this all year,” Davis said.

Donovan Nance of Zama American closed his career with 134 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries to earn Offensive Player of the Game honors.

Defensive Player of the Game Adam Krievs of Kinnick had eight tackles plus 54 yards and a TD on seven carries.

Jarvis Williams of Kinnick ran for a touchdown and finished with 79 yards on nine carries.

Kinnick’s David McDermott went 5-for-9 for 54 yards passing. Josh Bonick of Robert D. Edgren, the Lineman of the Game, had six tackles. Edgren’s Woody Carter earned Sportsman of the Game honors.
