WüRZBURG, Germany — Wiesbaden’s Paul Fry carried the ball 31 times for 229 yards and four touchdowns as the Warriors rolled to a 39-12 victory over host Würzburg in a Division I non-conference game.
Fullback Dan Villareal added 96 yards on 11 carries and a TD for Wiesbaden, which also got a score on a 15-yard touchdown pass from Steve Jewell to Aaron Orr.
Wiesbaden, which got 10 tackles from Villareal, nine from Fry and two interceptions from Robert Edwards, led 20-6 at halftime.
Würzburg quarterback Iona Terriiapia, who was 9-for-15 for 155 yards, hit Sal Menna with a pair of TD passes. Fullback Wayne Grigsby led Würzburg with 75 yards on five carries and blocked a field-goal attempt.
Joe Marbut had four receptions for Würzburg, which will play host to the Warriors again this Saturday in the Division I conference opener for both teams.
