Dates—May 24-25.

Host school—Kubasaki High School, Camp Foster, Okinawa.

Site—Alva W. “Mike” Petty Stadium, Kubasaki High School, Camp Foster, Okinawa.

Format—From eight schools, 10 athletes qualifying for each event. Preliminary heats in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes and high and intermediate hurdles to eliminate two qualifiers in each. All 10 compete in the finals of all other events. Field events, 3,200 relay and 3,000-meter run and preliminaries on first day, finals of all other running events on second day. All running events to be electronically timed by Jo Pinto and Gaynell Marsh of Marianas Sports Officials Association on Guam.

Weather forecast—Monday, 80-percent chance of rain in morning, turning cloudy by afternoon. Tuesday, partly cloudy, 30-percent chance of rain. Highs both days in mid-80s.

Schedule of events—Pre-meet coaches meeting 7 p.m. Sunday at Southern Breeze Room at new Ocean Breeze Club on Camp Foster main post. Parade of athletes at 9 a.m. Monday, either at Mike Petty Stadium, weather permitting, or in Dragons Den gymnasium. Field, 3,200 relay and 3,000 scheduled for 10 a.m. Running preliminaries slated for noon. Running finals start at 9 a.m. Tuesday. In case of rain on Monday, go or no-go call will be made every two hours.

Who’s competing—Zama American, Yokota, Nile C. Kinnick, Robert D. Edgren, Japan; Seoul American; Guam High; and Kadena and Kubasaki, Okinawa.
