The Patch Panthers, behind 20 points from Julius Johnson-Rich and 15 from Eric Jones, improved to 3-0 Saturday with a 71-52 Region III boys basketball victory over visiting Hohenfels.

Johnson-Rich added 13 rebounds and five assists as Division I contender Patch completed a two-day sweep of its D-III guests. Jones poured in 26 points during Friday’s 88-46 victory.

Patch’s Justin Phelps also hit double figures in the sweep with 18 points Friday and 12 Saturday.

In other boys’ games:

Ramstein 78-77, Ansbach 47-44: Saturday at Ansbach, the Cougars made a game of it against their D-I guests until being outscored 30-4 in the third quarter, according to Ansbach’s Marcus George.

Dillon Wadsack paced the Royals with 24 points, Evan Canfield added 14 points and Michael Wallace 12. Friday, Andre Porterfield led Ramstein (3-0) with 14 points. Next up for the Royals is a Region II showdown at unbeaten Mannheim on Tuesday night.

Bitburg 62-72, SHAPE 53-52: Friday and Saturday at Bitburg, Deion Giddens led the way as the Barons, coming off a tough road loss the previous week at Patch, swept the defending European D-II champions.

Giddens registered 21 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks Friday, then just missed a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds Saturday, according to Bitburg coach Terrance Hoffman.

Kenny Conlon scored 35 points Friday and 22 Saturday for SHAPE (1-2). “He shoots the lights out,” Hoffman said.

Menwith Hill 45-33, Brussels 44-62: Friday at Brussels, according to Brussels coach Chris Vahrenhorst, Scottie Seitzer hit a game-winning trey at the end of overtime to lift the Mustangs.

Saturday, the Brigands precluded any last-second heroics by laying a 26-12 fourth-quarter run on Menwith Hill.

Jason Sumpter, who scored 18 points Friday, led the way Saturday with 23. Jeremy Howell added 20 points and 17 rebounds Saturday.

Wiesbaden 56, Baumholder 47: Friday at Baumholder, All-European Kiante Clifton had 32 points and 13 rebounds as the D-II runner-up Warriors won their first game of the year.

Clifton went 11-for-15 on free throws, according to Baumholder coach Spencer Bean, whose team lost for the first time this season.

Mannheim 60, Kaiserslautern 35: Friday at Kaiserslautern, Jerard Graham scored 16 points, had six steals and blocked five shots in the Bison’s Region II victory.

Aviano 73-60, Milan 7-9: Friday and Saturday at Milan, the Saints cruised to 4-0 in another one-sided sweep. They won on the courtesy rule twice against Marymount the previous weekend.

Incirlik 63-62, Ankara 16-9: Friday and Saturday at Incirlik, the Hodjas erased any doubt about which school will dominate Asia Minor. Friday, Devantae Jackson and A.J. Starks led the way with 12 points each. Saturday, Jackson scored 15 more points and Adrian Harvey added 11.
