VICENZA, Italy - The Vicenza Cougars picked up a key DODEA-Europe Division II football victory Saturday with an 18-6 defeat of the rival Naples Wildcats.

Vicenza opened the scoring midway through the first quarter on a 50-yard touchdown pass from Lucas Ridgley to Marquez Elam and later built an 18-0 lead on a 60-yard touchdown run by Zach Cohen.

Johanthan Otero made three quarterback sacks to headline the Cougar defense.

The win was the first of the season for Vicenza and a stunning reversal of the teams’ non-conference season opener on Sept. 7, a game the Wildcats won 26-6.
