RAF LAKENHEATH, England – Having already won the inaugural Independent League championship, the Brussels Brigands took a victory lap Saturday with a season-ending 42-0 rout over Lakenheath’s junior varsity squad.

Will Cole rushed 14 times for 191 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Brigands, who completed an undefeated 6-0 season to run away with the fledgling league’s first championship. The four-team DODDS-Europe league does not have a postseason; Brussels clinched the league’s best record, and thus the title, a week ago.

Petar Vlahovic and Damien Escalante made six tackles apiece for Brussels, while Javaughn Harrison nabbed two interceptions.

Tyler Rodriguez, Colten Menges and Rane Stringer had five tackles apiece for the Lancers.
