The Vilseck Falcons earned the signature wins of their DODEA-Europe boys basketball season this weekend, blasting the Division I rival SHAPE Spartans 68-29 on Friday and 55-24 on Saturday.

Four Falcons scored in double digits on Friday, led by Jonas Matthews with a game-high 12. Joseph Draper added 10-point, 13-rebound double-double for Vilseck.

Chris Graveley-Rosado took the offensive lead on Saturday with a game-high 15 points. Xxavier Bynes chipped in 11 points and five steals.

Vilseck pulled back to .500 in Division I play entering the toughest portion of its schedule. The Falcons face Wiesbaden next weekend and Ramstein a week later.

Wiesbaden 59, Black Forest 41: At Wiesbaden, the Warriors earned a sweep over defending Division II champion Black Forest Academy.

Tyrese Harris turned in a masterful all-around performance on Saturday, notching a double-double with 23 points and 10 assists and adding seven rebounds and six steals.

Jacob Fortune scored a game-high total of 32 points.

Brussels picks up close wins: The host Brussels Brigands earned a pair of hard-fought victories over the weekend as they hosted three other Division III schools.

The home team edged Sigonella 52-50 on Friday behind a 25-point effort from Jalen Pollard. The Brigands followed that up Saturday with a 52-46 defeat of Alconbury. Pollard again led the way, pouring in 31 points.

Sigonella also took a 55-28 loss to Spangdahlem but claimed a 61-49 win over Alconbury on Friday.

Rota 50/51, Aviano 30/33: At Rota, the Admirals opened DODEA-Europe play for the season with two double-digit wins.

Antonio White totaled 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists in Friday’s victory, then poured in 26 points on Saturday. Teammate LJ Chester scored 14 in each game and grabbed 10 boards in a Friday double-double.

The games represented the whole of the Admirals’ DODEA-Europe home schedule. The rest of their regular-season games are in Italy, followed by the Division II European tournament in Germany.

Kaiserslautern 53, Baumholder 14: Saturday at Kaiserslautern, the host Raiders routed the Division III Bucs.

Four Kaiserslautern players scored at least seven points, led by a 12-point outing from guard Ervin Johnson. Chandler Pigge scored nine for the Bucs.

The win came a night after the Raiders took a raucous 62-59 decision against divisional rival Lakenheath.

Baumholder is in the midst of a tough run of Division I opponents, including next weekend’s visit to Lakenheath.
