BRUNSSUM, Netherlands -- The Baumholder Bucs improved to 2-1 in DODEA-Europe Division III football play with a 68-60 defeat of the host AFNORTH Lions.

The win represents a high point in Baumholder’s up-and-down season. The year started with a thrilling defeat of defending champion Ansbach before sinking to the opposite extreme last weekend, when the homestanding Bucs squandered a double-digit halftime lead in a loss to Hohenfels.

Baumholder produced 558 yards of total offense on the day. Wilbur Turgeon accounted for 174 passing yards and 47 rushing yards to lead the way, while Cameron McDonald (115), Michael Blue (113) and Jahiem Sharpe (103) broke the triple-digit threshold in rushing yards.

Marquez Williams had 244 rushing yards and three touchdowns for Ansbach, while quarterback David Immel threw for 288 yards and four touchdowns.
