HOHENFELS, Germany – Playing their second night game in as many outings, the thoroughly-ready-for-primetime Ansbach Cougars demolished the Hohenfels Tigers 64-6 Friday in a Division II-South high school football game.

Six turnovers, two of them returned for touchdowns, fueled Ansbach (2-0 overall and in II-South). The Cougars intercepted four Hohenfels passes and recovered two fumbles. All-Europe running back Alex Moya returned one of the fumble recoveries 35 yards for a score from his safety position, and Cameron Richards took a pass interception in from 25 yards out for his touchdown.

Moya, who carried the ball nine times for 69 yards, scored three of Ansbach’s six rushing touchdowns. Derrick Flake, who rushed five times for 117 yards, ran for two TDs, and DeMar Flake rushed for yet another score.

The game, which Ansbach led 50-0 at halftime, was played under a running clock in the second half.

Hohenfels (0-2, 0-2) posted its first points of the season near the end of the third quarter when Jean Aquino returned an Ansbach kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown.
